El Retiro San Iñigo, the Jesuit Retreat House of Los Altos, is dedicated to strengthening individuals in a quiet, peaceful environment that encourages reflection and growth in spirituality; sustaining families through its counseling programs; and supporting the community through its outreach programs and the wholesome meeting environment it offers to schools and other organizations. It believes that individuals who are spiritually and emotionally strengthened promote strong families and strong communities. The work of the Jesuit Retreat House is based on the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola, who taught his fellow Jesuits not to withdraw from the world but to engage it and sanctify it. Jesuits live out their mission to serve by teaching, conducting retreats, caring for the poor, and creating a call for justice and peace.
