Baptism, the Eucharist, and Confirmation together constitute the Sacraments of Christian initiation. Confirmation completes what was begun at baptism.  It celebrates and strengthens the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and sends us out to participate in the apostles mission of spreading the Good News!

Preparation 

Confirmation Preparation is a two-year process usually beginning in the 7th Grade,
with the Sacrament of Confirmation celebrated at the end of 8th Grade.

Regular attendance and active participation at Mass and Classes are required.
Both years are required, regardless of whether or not the candidate attends a Catholic school.

Classes meet 10 times (approximately twice a month) throughout the school year.
 We begin at 11:30am with Mass, then lunch and class time til 2:00pm
 

Year 1 (7th graders)

Year 1 Includes, but is not limited to, all of the following components:

• Classes
• Weekly Mass attendance
• Service, to the parish and in the community
• One Day Retreat (approximately 10:00am to 4:00pm)

Year 2  (8th graders)

Year 2 includes, but is not limited to, all of the following components:

• Parent-Student Information Session: Sunday, September 15 beginning with Mass at 11:30am.
• Classes
• Weekly Mass attendance
• Service, to the parish and in the community
• One Day Retreat (approximately 10:00am to 4:00pm)
• Saint Report and Form
• Sponsor form

Additional Opportunities
In response to the US Bishops' document, "Renewing the Vision", ministering to the whole person is a goal of all aspects of our faith formation so Confirmation students are encouraged to participate in various events, activities, and meetings throughout the year. These varying opportunities include socials, service, and sessions to delve deeper into their faith.
